Reviews policy

Where reviews come from

Every review on FeastQuote comes from an event organiser whose booking with that caterer we verified first. There is no other way to create a review: no imports, no open review forms, no exceptions. When we verify a booking, the organiser automatically receives a single-use review link by email, valid for 90 days. Every verified booking triggers an invitation under the same rule; neither caterers nor we choose who gets asked.

What we will and will not moderate

We check reviews before publication only for unlawful or abusive content and for personal information that should not be published. We do not reject or bury a genuine review because it is negative, and caterers cannot pay to change, remove or reorder reviews. Star ratings and averages, where shown, include every published review.

Incentives

We do not pay for reviews or offer incentives in exchange for them, and caterers are not permitted to either. A review found to have been incentivised or written by someone connected to the caterer is removed.

Our own businesses

Where a caterer on FeastQuote is owned by people connected with FeastQuote, it is listed and reviewed under exactly the same rules as everyone else, with no preferential matching or placement.

Reporting a review

If you believe a review breaks these rules, email hello@feastquote.com with a link to the caterer's profile and the reason. We investigate every report and remove reviews that break the rules, and we keep a record of every moderation decision.
